Procedure

The "Mommy Makeover" is one of the many procedures performed to restore the figure of women after pregnancy. Typically, this procedure may include: Abdominoplasty, Augmentation Mammoplasty with Implants and/or Mastopexy (bust lift) and Liposuction.

During pregnancy, many women have significant weight gain although normal, after pregnancy, part of this weight dissipates, however the skin can become lax. For some women, there is laxity in the skin of the breasts which results in atrophy or "deflation" of the breasts. The breasts can also droop creating a flat appearance that can be considered unattractive. When the abdomen narrows due to the expansion of the uterus, a separation of the abdominal muscles can occur that occurs in the midline of the abdomen, this is called “diastasis recti” and it presents with a lump in the abdomen, mainly due to its flexion .
