Gluteal Augmentation

BUTTOCK AUGMENTATION

Procedure

Buttock augmentation improves the size, shape, contour and tone of the tissues that support the skin and fat of the gluteal area. Aging, sun damage, weight fluctuation, and pregnancy can all contribute to poor tissue elasticity causing sagging, volume atrophy, and poor shape in the gluteal region.
Type of anesthesia:
 Regional block and sedation

Procedure duration:
Approximately 3 hours
Duration of results:
Definitive in case of maintaining a stable weight or below that prior to surgery
Recovery
Minimum hospitalization of 1 day Recovery of 14 to 21 days Definitive result at approximately 3 months

This procedure is achieved through the placement of implants, fat grafts or occasionally the combination of both. Buttock implants are silicone-filled prostheses that are surgically placed deep in the gluteal tissues. Buttock augmentation by fat grafting involves the transfer of fat from one area of the body to tissues in the gluteal region, this technique is occasionally known as the Brazilian buttlift or “BBL”.
