Breast Lift

BREAST LIFT

Procedure

Breast lift or "Mastopexy" is a surgical procedure used to lift and reshape the bust. Factors such as pregnancy, lactation, weight changes, age and gravity produce changes in the appearance of the bust of women. When the skin loses its elasticity, the breasts tend to lose their shape and they fall. This operation also reduces the size of the areola (the dark skin around the nipple). If your breasts are small or have lost volume after pregnancy, breast implants can be placed in conjunction with the mastopexy, which will increase the firmness and size of the bust. The best candidates for this procedure are healthy, emotionally stable women with realistic expectations of the surgery. Breasts of any size can be lifted but the results will be less durable in patients with larger bust sizes. This procedure leaves permanent scars on the bust.
