Blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure used to remove excess skin and muscle from both the upper and lower eyelids. The fatty tissue that causes bulging can also be selectively removed or repositioned. Blepharoplasty can improve sagging skin and bulging. It can improve vision in older patients with abundant sagging of the upper eyelid. Blepharoplasty will not remove crow's feet or other wrinkles, remove dark circles, or raise the eyebrows.
